Town of Johnson Annual Report for fiscal year ending June 30, 2012.
Help Save Journey's End! Do you have a connection to or memory about Journey's End, formerly known as The Ledges? We are in the last stretch of trying to save this parcel of land for Johnson. We hope you can help.

Journey's End is a small but deep swimming hole on a 30-acre wooded site, 2000 feet from Plot Road. There is a deep pool with three 8 foot cascades above it, two jumping cliffs 15 feet and 8 feet high; several undercut ledges; a wading pool; and much more. The small, but very deep pool attracts brown trout as well as brookies and rainbows, providing excellent fishing for any angler. The water is pristine. The natural vegetation includes a mixed forest with a hemlock ravine. There are many picturesque sites which appeal to local and visiting artists. And during the summer it is a favorite swimming hole for young and old. There is something for everyone at Journey’s End.

Your support with a donation to the Vermont River Conservancy will help save Journey’s End. The Town of Johnson has agreed to be the long-term owner of the parcel. The Conservation Commission will serve as stewards for the property. More than 90% of the money needed has been raised. But $20,000 is still required. Please help if you can. For pictures and information, go to http://www.vermontriverconservancy.org/news/journeys-en

Individual donations to date range from $20 to $10,000 and each one is greatly appreciated as the deadline for closing the transaction draws near. Please join the supporters of this project by sending your check to VT River Conservancy, 29 Main Street, Montpelier, VT 05602. Be sure to mark the check for Journey's End, Johnson.
